Small Queequeg Horseshoe Crab
This miniature version measures about an inch in length Queequeg was a mysterious character in Melville's Moby Dick. When I designed this collection of engraving-decorated sealife, I was reminded of Queequeg's aboriginal tattoos which he wore head to toe. Though my engraving has it's roots in historical European decorative arts, I can't help think that these creatures are sporting elaborate tattoos. Fun and elegant!
